http://www.geeklawblog.com/2010/09/superhero-lawyers-theyre-all-big-but.html

This blog is written by three lawyers who together team up and combine forces to fight the evil we see everyday - crime. They expose how lawyers are really heros, and the specific post that is linked explains that many superheroes of comics and movies have chosen to live their 'everyday' lives as lawyers.

The Superhero Song

So here's a SuperHero Song. I think it would be nice to listen to some good music over the weekend.
Enjoy!

Super Villain: Darth Vader

http://deathstarpr.blogspot.com/2010/09/darth-vader-behind-mask.html

This blog gives insight to one of the most well-known villains of all time: Darth Vader. The PR team on the Death Star puts out news, interviews and all kinds of other things. Since he a member of the dark side, you can expect that some things he has to say are slightly offensive, but there are plenty of things to see that you might never expect!

The thing that is very clear though, is that he is so far gone to the dark side, there is no turning back!

SUPERMEN GETS A NEW MAKOVER.

I got on my computer today and this was one of the top stories on my homepage and it made me think of the article we read about Wonder Woman getting a makeover, and I thought these costumes were very similar in their dark characteristics.  So, I thought I would post it so people could take a look at it, and share their opinion.

YOU DONT HAVE TO COMMENT ON THIS, THIS IS JUST FOR FUN.

What if you had Super Powers...?

Be honest. If you could have any super power imaginable, would you use it for the good of others or for selfish purposes? Researchers at Northwestern University looked into this topic and found surprising results. As a group, we found this blog, however short it may be, extremely interesting. Be sure to check out the comments in response to this blog. What would your answer be? (Note: We do not support all the comments posted on this blog. We are sorry for any crude language. People have weird minds.)

Justice Blog of America

http://justiceblogofamerica.blogpeoria.com/

We found this blog and found it very intriguing.  This is not just your basic blog of a couple articles about superheroes and what is changing in their story lines, but it is in fact a modern version of that.  There are many videos and links to websites that talk about everything comic book and superhero related.  It discusses not only the comics themselves but the movies that are coming out, and if you look at older posts, there are videos from Comic-Con.  In a way this deals with all sorts of media because there are articles, websites, videos, and pictures.

You are bound to find something on this blog you find interesting.  There are a couple posts that are just plain weird, but whatever floats your boat is fine with us.  So enjoy the blog.

The Adventures of Spiderman

http://www.spiderman2004.blogspot.com/
The creator of this blog takes on the persona of Spiderman. He shares his adventures and the respect he gets from the people he saves. This is not the best blog ever written, but it does have some interesting qualities. I mean who has not wanted to be in the mind of a super hero? This blogger brings the "spidey" abilities to life.

Our group chose this blog to feature because we thought it was a clever way to introduce the insights of a hero. We hope you enjoy and can find some interesting ideas to discuss!

Greetings! (& an assignment of sorts)

Welcome everyone in my section of English 110.01!

This is to welcome you to the class blog. If you're not familiar with blogs, this will be a very gentle introduction. If you're quite familiar with blogs -- perhaps you keep one yourself -- this will be quick. A blog is a place where people can write posts that occur in a sequential or chronological order. Each of these posts then can be commented upon by the author and others.

The purpose of this blog is to have an out-of-classroom location to continue our discussions of how we see others in the interwebs discussing our course theme.

As I mentioned in the title ... there's a small assignment attached to this first post. To orient us with the class blog, I'm asking that each member become a member of this blog and post a comment on this post that includes one thing related to the course theme. It might be a link to something you found surfing the web. It might be a memory from childhood. Surprise us, but please do post so that we can make sure we haven't left anyone behind as we've stepped from Caldwell and Denney into the blogosphere.
